Updated Arctic Sea Ice

Feb 15, 2018: Arctic sea ice extent continues to increase by low rate - this week the rate of increase was 0.24% from last week's level of 13.750 M km2 to 13.831 M km2 for this week. As we get to near the end of the sea ice growth period, this does not bode well, and as you will see, the sea ice extent levels are now as low as they have ever been for this time of year.
